7th PAY COMMISSION DATE : 7th Pay Commission Date for implementation Till this moment, the oral announcement only made by the Finance Minister to constitute 7th CPC for Central Government employees. There is no further action to constitute the committee for 7th CPC and we cannot say anything about the members of the committee and when it will be constituted. Thee is no authentic information about the date to constitute the committee for preparing recommendations for 7th CPC. However, the committee will take maximum of 24 months to submit their recommendation report to Indian Government. The implementation of the 7th CPC is likely to be implemented from 1st January, 2016 to all Central government employees. Expected DA From Jan 2014 - Possibility Of Increase Of DA By 11% As per the present state DA has reached 90 %. At this juncture, Central Government Employees are eagerly waiting to know the percentage of increase in the month of Jan 2014. The DA increase in the month of Jan 2014 does have certain importance in it. Because when DA reaches 100%, there is a possibility of increase of certain allowances also simultaneously. 

LDC-UDC ISSUE : THE CASE RETURNED BY THE DOPT & DIRECTED TO TAKE UP THE MATTER DIRECTLY WITH DEPARTMENT OF EXPENDITURE, MOF. Dear friends,             As has already been informed, the Letter sent to the PM for revision of Grade pay of LDC & UDC by us has been forwarded to JCA, by the DoPT. Accordingly, a letter seeking the status of action taken from the Deputy Secretary, JCA was prepared but before sending the same to him,  the case has received back from the DoP&T wherein it was directed us to take up the matter directly with the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure). The undersigned is directed to refer to this Department's OM No.42/13/2012-P&PW(G) dated 2nd May, 2013 on the subject mentioned above and to state that the President is pleased to decide that the Dearness Relief (DR) payable to Central Government pensioners/family pensioners shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 80 % to 90%0 w.e.f. 1stJuly, 2013.

The outcome of announcement on setting up of 7th Pay commission The 7th pay commission announcement was really unexpected surprise at this juncture for everyone. At the time of facing financial crisis, no one has expected that the central government would announce its decision on constituting 7th pay commission soon. Really all the central government employees are excited about this when the central government made this announcement. Even all the central government employees’ federations were not aware of this move of the central government in advance.

7th Pay Commission – Expectations and Suggestions We are all aware about the announcement on forming of 7th Pay Commission during the last week. It is our moral responsibility to convey our gratitude to the Central Government and the Unions which were continuously giving voice to this effect. The main reasons for the announcement regarding the forming of 7th Pay Commission as stated are:

Submission of form 14 by Spouse to Pension Disbursing Bank Relaxed  The condition of applying for family pension in Form 14 on the death of pensioner has been causing inconvenience to widows, specially on account of the requirement of attestation by two Gazetted Officers.  The Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions Shri V. Narayanasamy informed the members of Standing Committee of Voluntary Agencies (SCOVA) that the Government has decided to do away with the requirement of submission of Form 14 for commencement of family pension where the pensioner and spouse hold a joint account. The spouse may inform the Bank of death of the pensioner by way of a simple letter enclosing a copy of death certificate. The paying bank will identify the spouse based on the information given in the PPO and its own “Know Your Customer” procedures.
