Sub: Clarification regarding acceptance or otherwise of certificates/qualifications awarded by various institutions for the purpose of employment.

The issue whether certificates/qualifications awarded by under mentioned institutions are recognised for the purpose of employment on the railways has been under consideration of this Ministry:-

Sl.No.     Board of School
(i) Nababharat Shiksha Parishad, Orissa/India;
(ii) Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi;
(iii) Central Board of Higher Education, New Delhi;
(iv) Delhi Board of Senior Secondary Education; and
(v) Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Bharat, Gwalior (MP).

The issue has been examined in light of instructions contained in M/o Human Resource Development OM No. F.2-35/2011-School-3 dated 07/9/2012 and DOP&T's O.M. No. 14021/2012-Estt.D dated 06/3/2013 and it has been decided that since these institutions are not Member Boards of COBSE (Council of Boards of School Education in India), therefore, certificates/qualification obtained from the above named institutions is not acceptable for the purpose of employment in railways.

Please acknowledge receipt.
