Public Sector Oil Companies employ 4203 people during 2011-12

In continuation of fulfillment of their socio economic obligation, the 10 Public Sector Oil Companies provided employment to 4,203 persons during 2111-12. ONGC recruited 1468 personnel, followed by IOCL with 1,439 recruitments. Oil PSUs wise recruitments are given in the following table:-

The total 49.63 % of the new recruitments were from SC, ST and OBC categories. While 984 persons belonged to SC category, 467 persons to ST category and 635 personnel to OBC category.
