Govt has raised the retirement age of judges, school teachers and college professors up to 65. For other group of employees, it has no intention to increase the retirement age. It is disappointing that PM himself had expressed so, govt is not in favour of that. Why different measurement for different class of workers? Is it so because BJP has the backing for same?

Govt must increase the retirement age from 60 to 62 bringing uniformity in all cadres, particularly in view of the policy of no recruitment against posts falling vacant due to retirements. No discrimination with anyone.

There is no qualification bar to be a member of legistative assembly or parliament and that too no upper age limit. How they decide the age of other employees in public i9nterest. No understandable....

Since well educated youths are begging for government jobs, it is a good decision to maintain retirement age at 60. So that dynamic youth will enter into government bureaucracy. Further, to make uniformity, retirement age of all class of employees should be made 60 years.

Retirement get From 60 to 62 must be encouraged .In most of the countries the retirement has been increased to 65. Because of their experience these people count a lot in managing the economy and shaping the nation .AS these people have helped in Developeing india for last 40years. Instead of putting a new employee in a unknown cirumstances These Experienced People can Fight back.

Government has re-iterated that the retirement age will not be increased to 62 years. Why not at least to Scientists in all the departments of govt of India? It is 60 for some and 62 for some others? It is un-scientific to tell the least. Better govt revisits and set right the anamoly for scientists before next budget.

Government must not increase retirement age any further from 60 yrs, lots of educated and unemployed youths are in the line, they will get frustrated ,otherwise Dont compare the age of Judge, Judges are not freely available in market, .Dont compare with increased retirement age in developed country, they have no unemployment, we have.

Retirement age should be reduced from 60 to 58 years for all central government employees, including judges, scientists and lecturers other than people working in area of national importance and should be monitored very rigorously before granting extension. Most of state government employees retirement age is 55 years. After 60 years of age, the ability to do the things properly diminishes and it scientifically proved also. In India human resources available in abundance. Keeping the youngsters and new generation in place of old people, India can march ahead and reduce corruption also. Therefore, the retirement age should be reduced to 58.

GOVT SHOULD NOT INCREASE THE RETIREMENT AGE SINCE IT WILL LEAD TO MORE AND MORE UNEMPLOYMENT IN YOUNGSTERS AND IF YOUNGSTERS NOT GETTING JOBS THEY MAY TEND TO CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES(.) THE RETIREMENT AGE INSTEAD SHOULD BE 58 YEARS FOR ALL CATEGORIES INCLUDING TEACHERS, JUDGES, POLITICIANS,ETC.

Retirement age should be raised with the fact that late age marriage constitutes problems with the education of children. An employee after retirement gets less privileges than what he rightly gets now in the job, so staff those are having problems to see their children are far from established position, seem to get bedazzled. I wish therefor the government should consider of raising the retirement at least by two years, as the average mortality rate has gone down considerably and people who are in sixties still look young. I hope their experience is to be taken into use by the government.

WE SHOULD HAVE UNIFORMITY IN RETIREMENT AGES BE IT JUDGES,SCHOOL TEACHERS ETC. IF WE DECIDE FOR 55,58,60,62 OR 65 SO BE IT, BUT LET IT BE UNIFORM FOR ALL AND NOT SELECTIVE. RAISING OR DECREASING THE AGE OF RETIREMENT DOES NOT HAVE A DIRECT OR INDIRECT IMPACT ON THE CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES OF THE EDUCATED YOUTH. THE ANSWERS TO THAT HAS TO BE SOUGHT ELSEWHERE. BUT INCREASING THE RET. AGE WILL CERTAINLY BENEFIT THE COUNTRY AT LARGE

govt should reduce the retirement age of central govt employees to 58 years and the vacant position should be filled with fresh recruitment to increase the job opportunity to young.if retirement age increased to 62, it will be most non-sense decision on the part of govt.

Why Govt is trying to increase two-two years. Let it be 100 years/death which ever is later. Hence no youth will be getting a govt job in near by his specified age limit.

Please reduce the retirement age to 58 years so as to save the nation and save the young generations.

all those who r talking abt decreasing the retirement age of teachers is nothing but just a rubbish.. coz.. we r talking abt, giving opportunities to youth...but those youths r trained by these olds only.. Quality of Education is already going down, and at such situation, only people with experience can bring that moral and quality among students whom some people are calling youth. So, government must think over the aspect of increasing age of retirement of KVS teachers to save and to enhance the quality provided by the institution.

Any ways ,,, government employees are not in mood of working at age of 62,,, the problem is with the government ,, they do not have the funds to give to the employees. Point to be noted that, it is their own money which is saved in terms of PF, EPF and more others. It was the decade of 70's when most of the men/women were given the jobs in newly developed industries, and people joined at that time are nearing to ages of 57 ,, 58 etc. Two years after now, most of the people would turn up 60 and retire.

Number of years put in are very important whether it is for teachers, scientists , judges or govt. servants. why drag people on and on if they have done 35-40 years or why send away people who still have the zest and energy if they have done less number of years. Of course the option for VRS may continue after 60.
