Have been disturbed eversince Govt rejected after recommendation and approval of OROP to civilians at par with benefit already extended to retired defence staff. Today a Brigadier is drawing more pension than a Joint Secretary who as per warrant of precedence is equivalent to a Major General. This gap will further increase after every 5 years when pension of Defence staff is reviewed. How can the Govt make a difference between pensioners? It is simply discrimination and needs to be looked into once again.
